Today I sat in my dad's living room and managed to not order any parts.

Last night though I threw together a little video that is utter pap, but funny to me. It posted to Facebook, but damned if I can get it to load to my Smugmug. I used iMovie off my iPad.
Here's link. pretty tame by the usual standards, but, i like the bike. Not sure if it will work or not, but here it is. I'll try for an upload to Smugmug when I get home. Maybe I can get out for some more fun too.

My first dirt ride on my 2010 KTM 990 Adventure R from Richard Nowels on Vimeo.

Spoiled myself with a Christmas ride

Christmas ride front by -Roundoz-

christmas ride rear by -Roundoz-

A balmy 37 deg as I headed home. Still running-in my Safari tanks and Rekluse clutch. Very impressed with both so far. Had the tanks full and still running standard suspension ( settings almost maxed out mind you ) I found the road handling is fine...might prove to be overtaxed offroad as most say. If anything the bike was more settled in deepish sand and gravel.

Hey Roundoz,

I recognize your bike from the KTM Nat. Rally...superb job with the tool container you fabricated!

You really need to consider constructing units for sale!

Unfortunately there are several hundred man hours in that piece...a labor of love. CJ's solution is eminently practical and affordable...it just doesn't work with the Jesse racks, and I like the way mine mimics the oval of the pipe on the other side. If anyone wants to build their own the starting point is 6" tubing oval-ized in a hydraulic press. This makes very good use of the space available once the bulky pipe hanger bracket is removed. If a simpler cap was fabricated, one that didn't fit inside the tube, and the finish was painted rather than polished aluminum, it would be easier and cheaper. Happy to provide construction tips and photos via pm if anyone's interested.

Installed uni-prefilter. Interested to see how well BMC + uni combo work.

been playing with the new GoPro. did one of my easy out of the house rides on the 990 yesterday. christmas in AZ is a great time to ride. learned a lot about the camera, mounting, and the editing software. lot's still to learn but not bad for my first shot. hope you enjoy....
