Where is your radiator overflow? I noticed this is different than my 250x.

450x is underneath radiator in front.
Here's updated pics of my CRF450x. Street legal but with more sleek headlight, cleaned up tail and sidepanels. Bike computer installed, lots of little blings.

VERY nice job of integrating the different colors and surface textures. Most people just slap on bling...and think they've have a cool looking bike. Very well thought out...

Its a stikers in new plastic material....KRYPER!
Kit consists of transparent adhesive KRIPER shaped. Adhesive protection KRYPER made. His special processing, making it by very resistant to abrasion, providing a very high grip in all conditions of use. Applying it as shown in the photo, you protect the clutch housing

Thumb Your comments about your CRFX's appreciated.

Hey there inmates. I am in the market for a 450 and after test riding a WR and a CRF back to back the other day I must admit I came off the CRF with a smile on my dial. It appeared to have alot more torque than the WR and pulled like a freight train which can be quite addictive when owning a KTM 950.
Before I part with my hard earned coin I just wanted to ask a couple of questions about the CRFX from the boys who own them.
I have heard about valve problems associated with pre 06 models, is this true and how can it be avoided and is it still an issue with post 06 models.
I have had a bit of a look at an 07 model with 1400k's on her. Is there anything in particular that I should know about these bikes before possibly considering owning one.
I am a big believer in maintaining a bike so regular oil/filter changes are no problems and how often should the valves be adjusted on these beasties and is it a difficult job. Keen on knowing about the bike inside and out.
Sorry for so many questions guys but keen to know.
Thanks very much,
Johnnie

I have an 05, w regular oil & air filters svcs. its been stone cold reliable. Valves just ckd, right in the middle of the range, perfect. Its never had the cyl head off. I dont know how many miles it has, mech. odo only goes to 100 miles, but its alot. It pulls like a freight train, only hard to start w it gets well below freezing. Rec. to run 1 full qt. of oil on trans side. mine uses no eng oil or smokes at all. My exper. may not be typical, Go ck out crfsonly.com for everything you need to know & tons of parts. Hope this helps.

I had earlier added a spare oil tank for long trips. I just didn't feel comfortable going 2000 miles on 3/4 quart. Banjo bolt replaced the oil drain and a complicated set of vacuum tubes from the crankcase created a pulse which mixed the oil through the tube. worked great.

Hi, could you please explain how you hooked up your extended oil tank(i've been wanting to do that for some time!)
