Greetings fellow riders. Thought I'd share with you my Guts Racing soft seat foam for sale ad, in case anyone is looking to soften up their seating area.

I also have a 2005 crf450x

Does your bike have the emissions pump on it? I removed mine with a aftermarket kit (about 35 bucks), it stopped backfiring. I also changed my main jet to a 150 and my pilot to a 50. |

More pictures! More information on increasing oil capacity, please.
Anybody have any cool shots of them riding their 450x in Colorado?

Race Prep CRF450X
Run additional oil in the transmission cavity. Instead of filling to the oil check screw level we fill to the bottom side of the threads, removing the aluminum plug used for crankshaft access, on the right side of the engine case.
Behind the left side cover there is a “natural” color main coupler. On the ECU side of this natural coupler there is a Pink wire. Underneath the Pink wire is a blank terminal plugged with a rubber cap. Swap the positions of the Pink wire and the rubber cap. Reconnect the coupler to the wiring harness. (in Modified form the Pink wire is not connected to any other wire). This allows an additional 1000 RPM’s before engine hits “rev-cut” and provides a completely different (more aggressive) ignition curve. Magnesium clutch access cover is easily punctured by the cleats on the rear brake pedal during a tip-over or impact with a berm. Be sure to file and round off the inboard cleats and sharp edges of the pedal, use a rubber pad attached to brake pedal top side, and/or consider an aluminum access cover to prevent oil loss. Opened airbox…as mentioned above follows guidelines listed in attached Honda WRENCH newsletter. This is a competition modification only. · Drill out the two pop rivets holding on the air snorkel and remove it · Cut the section shown inside the raised cut line while wearing eye protection. · Cut out the black “triangle” from the left side cover/air filter access door as shown below. · Reinstall the airbox and the sub frame. ![]() Straight from Honda's CRF desert Race book ![]()
