I wanted an 80s Yamaha rebuilt with better suspension and a retro yellow/black scheme. I found a 91 FZR (close enough to the 80s!) for next to nothing. I sold enough stuff on ebay to finance the project, started a thread here about the rebuild......then this came up...85 FZ750 with 8000 miles.....I fell in love
and she followed me home.![]() The thought crossed my mind to update this machine, but after playing with it a bit I decided to keep her stock. This winter the engine and tank gets repainted and the carbs rebuilt. I have an original seat on the way for her too. Very cool machine that draws a lot of attention. All of the project cash went into buying the FZ750, so the FZR600 project is gathering dust in the back of my barn now, maybe next winter..... E
