Found two ATC 125Ms for cheap, going to pick them up on the weekend.
In the meantime, I decided to take the CT apart and at least see how well the 125cc ATC motor fits. ![]() ![]() Pretty good. The mounts line up perfect as well as the sprockets and chain. The recoil case is a few inches thicker than the stock 90cc motor so I'm going to have to use the footpegs from the ATC which is also wider. That just means I'll be able to drag the pegs on the go-kart track! ![]() I've also started taking the chassis apart to assess its condition and decide what to do about paint. ![]() Overall it's very solid. The battery box area is the worst, presumably from battery acid spillage. ![]() And also the swingarm bridge may be a bit soft too. ![]() If it's too far gone I don't mind replacing it. Needs a new taillight assembly as well as new rear shocks. ![]() ![]() I'm debating if I should try and get it powdercoated or just paint it. Either way it needs to be sandblasted to get all the rust off and some new metal to beef up around the battery box. I'd also like to make it a different color than the factory yellow. Any suggestions? Sean

I like orange, but I think I have enough of it in the garage!
Since this is really a resto mod, I would like to eliminate all the chrome. That might be hard to do on the wheels and rear rack though. Maybe I can find some aftermarket hoops I can lace up to the original hubs. Sean

I don't know how durable it is, but they make a flat black auto trim paint that will stick to chrome.

Got a couple more donors over the weekend.
![]() ![]() The first one doesn't quite look as minty as the one in the brochure but it's complete and runs like a top. But the clutch is smoked. ![]() Not a big deal but now I have to go into it and sort it out. The second one runs too but smokes quite a bit. I'm hoping a piston and rings will fix it. The important part is that now I have two pull start assemblies! ![]() ![]() Hey what do you guys think about this idea? ![]() It's not quite where it would need to sit. It needs to be a bit higher to clear the carb/air filter but I think it can easily reside in that space and double my fuel capacity. Sean

When you find a pull start motor put it back into the ATC. The ATC is aout 400,000 times more fun (And dangerous
) than the trail 90. I have an ATC 110 and 2 Trail 110s. I love the trails, but the ATC is what gets ridden 90% of the time.
