If you are ever in Gentry, AR stop at the Wooden Spoon. Its just south of town on HWY 59. Its a Mennonite owned restaurant that has some SERIOUSLY delicious food. Don't skip on dessert here! SERIOUSLY!!

Thumb I'll Second

I'll second the recommendation for the Wooden Spoon, the catfish dinners are almost as good as the Catfish Hole's on Hwy 16.
And the pie.....

Hey, I'm in the N.W. Ar Vintage Breakfast Club and we go the last Saturday of every month to eat breakfast. It's just a few people with old bikes who like to ride. This month we're going to eat somewhere in the Van Buren/Ft. Smith area. Anyone have any suggestions for good breakfast joints in that area? You're welcome to join us as well.

Come on out! I can give you all the details. We don't have a website or anything. One of the guys, Derick, makes a flier and puts in on craigslist. That's about as complicated as it gets. When a time and place is determined I'll post it up here for you(and anyone else who would like to join). I'll let the guys know about Calico kitchen. Thanks!

If Calico Kitchen is in Calico Rock, AR then it's not very close to Van Buren. We can probably make it out there next month, but this month we're planning on going to Van Buren. I think we're going to end up at some place on main st. So far the plan is to meet up and ride 59 down to VB. I'll let you all know when and where to meet if you want to join. I think we're meeting at the grocery store at the 4-way in Prairie Grove. I'll have to find out what time.

Cool. I don't know anything about Van Buren/Ft. Smith. I live in Fayetteville and I'm from the Mt. Ida area. I'll talk to the guys to see what they think.

The club is set up primarily for smaller displacement / vintage bikes 1980 or older. As you all know there are plenty of Harley, sportbike, and cruiser clubs. There are not many active "vintage" riding groups that I know of in this area. That's what this is. I do not run the club and therefore can't say for sure what is "vintage" and what is not. It is a laid back group of people and we have a good time. We take our time getting where we are going and usually spend some amount of time changing spark plugs, wiping oil off our shields and toping off small gas tanks. If that sounds like you then I would think your welcome to ride. Here's the link to last years "scramble"

What he said. Oh yeah, Calico isn't looking good for this month. Maybe another time.
