+1 on the video. I've NEVER done that before. Not even weekend before last.....

SanYo is a great place to ride. NMTA will be back there in December. I guess the consensus is that it's too hot to ride there in the summertime. I think it's just about right. Of course, I'm usually freezing to death any temp below 90......

More sideways than backwards, I wouldn't give him a five at all.
Very nice ride on his part.

Maybe a tiny bit backwards, but mostly sideways as stated above. I wouldn't five him on it. Sick move though!

It was a pretty good ADV contingent at round 3. Great to meet the ones I did, I'll find the rest of you at later rounds. I had a good time and the sections seemed easier than the week before (except for the damn wind). Or maybe I actually found some balance?

Other than some questionable advice on protective gear, I hope Wannabeeuro had enough fun to try another event.

I tried to slow it down to see. It's like a NFL instant replay, you really can't tell. Hell, I have seen guys with both feet down, stopped and get called for a one! All I know is that flick off of the rock is national calibre.
Can you CO guys tell us who that rider is?

I'm still riding way too tight, MX style, but I'm getting better about looking ahead in the sections and trying to flow through.

I'm a little worried about the transfer sections though, Will it hurt the bike to jump it every chance I get?

Ben,

It's awesome you and Blake are getting into this sport. It is very addictive! It had completely changed the way I ride dirt bikes now though, but I think for the better. There are many "bad" habits I had to unlearn from many years of single track and dual sport riding in order to learn proper trials riding, but once you get comfortable with them, I think it will help all forms of riding for you!

Here is my gallery from Saturday at Carol Bluffs. I was too much of a wuss to even spectate on Sunday.

Keith Wineland on Section 1

Dustin Hedwall was fun to watch as well but I hear his transmission broke on Sunday.

Section 8 was tough for some of the Amateur riders.

I'm looking forward to spectating at more events!
