After much cleaning with electrical contact cleaner in and around the lever and switch, then lots of e-grease and several lubes I got it to work. Good to go.

New Years Ride
This year the New Years ride was a little short. I had ridden on Christmas to all the family gatherings and got the bike put away at dark with nearly no gas left in the tank. In fact I had been riding for about 20 miles with a blank on the miles left screen. Its pretty nasty here in Denver NC, light rain and 39 degrees but tradition is tradition. Took the bike to the gas station and put 6.56 gallons in the tank.
Took the long way home but that still isn't really very far. Hope all of you get the opportunity to get out and ride all you want to this year. May you all have a prosperous 2013. Bud |

Clearwater's "Krista" lights on a 1150RT
Hi all, just wondering if anyone have installed "Krista" lights on a 1150RT. I'm considering putting them on mine but don't know if a kit is offered. They are relatively common on 1200RT's.
Cheers, C

Went back to my local dealer for a demo on the Trophy, but ... they have decided not to allow demos on the bike until they get more of them.
![]() Another dealer in town says their demo is in transit and should be there in 2-3 weeks. Will post impressions when I get to ride one.

Tank bag requirements
I'm designing a tank bag for my R1100RS and trying to get some ideas. So far the requirements I have come up with are a compartment for a spare face sheild. Electric connector to charge phone run GPS and to plug in homemade heated clothing, etc. Outside pockets to be able to snack on the go.Easy and secure mounting. Waterproof without a cover. Currently I'm using a modified Suzuki bag that the sun has eat up that works pretty well for 30 bucks off the bargin table. Would like to hear your wish to get this thing made for the new year. Got a shop full of sewing machines and parachute materials to get er done.

Ive used the Touratech Flat bag on two of my RTs and also on my GTL. Great bag, well made, and tough.

I like my touratech but be careful as it is made kinda thin. Mine already has a hole from a pen in the bottom corner
