Anybody need TY/GT parts? I've got (more or less) 2 GT80's and 1 TY80 in parts.

The TY is missing fenders, and the front forks (temporarily on the "runner") are very rusted, not worth using. The whole motor seems to be there (apart), the wheels are kinda nasty but could also be used. Frame's there, although I don't think the OG handlebars are there.

If ya need parts, let me know!

Got my franken-junker runnin' and ridin' today. I've got a set of GOOD forks to go on, just waiting for seals. Also have the rear brake setup, just waiting for shoes.

Hi All,
I am trying to find a original undamaged side case for my TY project. Hopefully someone has a spare somewhere. Any leads appreciated.

Regards Mark

Story of my life.

How 'bout the rusted ones in the pic? If the rust is not much below the chrome plating, I would still be interested.

They're frozen solid, and even after a fair amount of abuse, they won't unfreeze... so I think they're beyond use

Oh, I think I know 4 fat guys (and one skinny guy) that can give those forks a whole new meaning of "abuse".

If you change your mind, let me know. I'll still take 'em.

Well, since I'm going to be laided up for a couple of months (broken ankle). I thought it would be a good time to repaint my son's TY 80 and get the seat recovered. I haven't painted a motorcycle, since my first CB 175 . It looked great to me at the time, but, I was 16...

My son has stolen my idea for my TY 250 and he wants to do a Evel Knevel paint job . Of course, he's seen many of his jumps on You Tube, we have a EK pinball machine and a painting of EK in our living room...I don't know where he got the idea from .

Were going to do sometthing like below.

I have to first strip and clean the inside of the tank. Then prep surfaces for paint. Any tech tips are greatly appreciated.

growing up as a kid in the UK, my first bike was a ty 80.

Does anybody remember the whitehawk? i had one as my next step between the 80 and the 125.
From memory, it was a custom frame, with the 80 motor, and 125 wheels. I dont remember it too well, but it had a 1 piece glass tank and seat combo. I had a spare until a few years ago.
I remember it coming with 2 sets of rear shocks, to allow me to grow into it.

l We brought it over to the us when we came in 1990, and i sold it to a guy somewhere around greenville sc several years later. it may still be around somewhere!
