He was great to me, he took his time (about 30 minutes) to tell me about most all the bikes he had there. I was pleased.

Just got back a couple of days ago, and ran across this. If you did not catch it earlier in this thread, our shocks are of a mystery origin. They are either off the front of a VW Baja Bug, or rears from a Harley. We cannot determine the manufacturer (sticker painted over). They work great for big-boy buffoonery though.

I personally would avoid the Betors available for them. They blew on their very first ride with us. B&J mentioned something about maybe they were overstressed, but we just don't see it.

Methinks they went overboard with the yellow powdercoating

Otherwise, AWESOME! I wish I had kept my 80... I'm on the lookout for another

I'm glad it's being enjoyed. I hope he's getting even more use out of it than me and my buddies did

If you've got one, you should throw up a picture of him riding it. I'd love to see the ol' girl being loved!

At first glance it is way cool. Brewtus, I doubt that single schock actually works that well. Still has crappy peg location and not geared much. Hopr those bars are for an adult!

Not to mention that your rasta shorts would catch on the master cylinder

A good friend will take you trail riding, an ADV friend will double back and say, "how did you get down there?"

So, if money wasn't a problem, within reason. How, what do you do??? I'd like to see a inside look at the engine case.

Saw the gearing and the Sammy Miller pegs. With the swingarm extended to accommodate the mono shock, the pegs are no where near inline with the rear axle anymore. I think it would be a bit ungainly to ride like that, especially the way we would ride it. Maybe version 2 of that bike would incorporate a rear shock linkage......

Rasta shorts??
