Garthe, glad you got a good deal. We wound up finding a Sherco 80 (many thanks to the Dugan family) with intermediate wheels for a smokin' price. Erin now has a bike that will more than likely carry her all the way through the lower classes for the next couple of years, 'til she's ready for a full-sized bike.

A man who I've NEVER met before (brewtus), just picked up a motorcycle for my son and I (which I had only see pictures of through e mail). And if that wasn't enuff...he (brewtus) then brought it to his house and got it RUNNING as well.

Also great news here CJ!! Was Erin able to ride it at the event this past weekend? Great news and nobody deserved a new trials scoot more than Erin!!

We pulled in just barely in time to sign up on Saturday and Tim Dugan came up to tell me that Erin was welcome to ride the Sherco. I took a closer look at it and realized it had the intermediate wheels on it. But Erin didn't get a chance to try it before Saturday's trial, so she rode the Gas Gas 50. It started overheating with three sections to go on the last loop but she was able to finish with the help of some bottled water Dwight had with him. In the afternoon, Erin rode the Sherco around and it was obviously perfectly sized for her. She started getting used to the clutch, and Tim's wife Jenny decided they wanted to sell it after all. Fortunately we actually had a little cash because we got some back as a result of correcting an accounting error in our house sale closing deal, and Tim and Jenny were willing to take a couple payments for the bike.
Erin rode the bike on Sunday and finished in second place in Beginner. She had only one stall/crash because of unfamiliarity with the clutch. We did have to change out the spark plug because the bike is running a little rich down low, and Erin isn't attuned to cleaning it out every so often. I think I may need to adjust the air screw or drop the needle one groove. It'll take her a little while to be able to kick-start it easily--it's a little big and heavy, but she can easily put both feet down and straddle the seat, which was probably the most important consideration for me.

This is great news Garth!! I hope Aidan gets much pleasure from this new to him scoot. Great bike to learn on. Congrats on the new addition!!!
