2007 Kawasaki KLR 650. Black and grey with yellow KLR logo on the tank (the best looking color scheme in my humble opinion). Pristine condition and dialed in. 16k miles by 2 meticulous owners. Whole bike re-greased with Evinrude waterproof grease. Runs Rotella Oil, doesn’t burn or leak a drop. I just rode to Dawson at the end of June and the bike performed flawlessly, except a turn signal bulb expired.


Extras: Mini dash installed with waterproof clock and switch for heated grips. 2 SAE power outlets (for electric vest, tire pump, ipod, gps, etc.) Subframe upgrade. The infamous Doo-hickey is done. Stainless steel brake lines greatly improve stock braking. New battery. Tires are Michelin T63 knobbies, great on and off road (comparable to Continental TKC 80). Engine guard, with radiator guard that fits behind the plastic shroud.


You’ll be hard pressed to find another KLR this clean and well taken care of. $3500. If you are from outside AK, this is a great fly and ride bike deal. I'll pick you up from the airport, give you a garage to sleep in, and I'll even clean the bugs off the windshield before you go.


I have a few items I want to remove from the bike to install on the next. But I may be willing to leave a few on the bike for the right price. I also may sell them to you CABs who ride KLRs, but only after the bike is sold!!!

• Caribou side and top cases, rack. These lock to the rack with a key and the boxes themselves lock with the same key. Super easy to put on and take off. These are Pelican cases, which means they are indestructible, waterproof, and very nice. These side cases and rack when bought new are $780, not including shipping to AK. The Topcase and frame mount are $295. I’ll part with them all for $800 for the whole set.
• Tank Panniers. Water resistant and can also be used separately as fanny packs: $25
• Tall Windshield: $25
• Rox 2 inch Risers: $75
• Sheepskin buttpad: $25
• Electric Wolfman Tank Bag with waterproof cover. Has an SAE plug outside and hardwired inside for a power outlet: $40
• headlight guard: $40
• Master cyllinder brake guard: $10
• vibration dampener for mirrors: $10
• Custom seat, lowered, dished a little, with a groove for sensitive tailbones. $85
• Stainless oil filter (never needs replacing): $45
• center stand with leverage leg for easy set up: $60
• Tool tube: waterproof and mounts on the engine guard: $10

In the shop I also have a few items I’m willing to part with:

• Metzler Tourance Tires, front and rear (50% tread) These are sold as 80% on road and 20% off-road capabilities: $75 for the pair.

the bad:
It needs engine work. If you are still reading this, it uses coolant and does not start, most likely due to low compression. It does turn over with the electric starter and will pop, but not stay running.

the good:
clean title, I will need to mail it to you. I will do this certified mail.

12 VDC outlet
heated grips
rebuilt front and rear suspension about 6,000 miles ago
new wheel bearings 6,000 miles ago

Edit...this was about the F650 BMW - he decided to ship it home & fix it. A couple hours earlier when he was still pissed it would have been gone.
