My wife (MADnNC) and I have been riding Western North Carolina since Friday and the past day and a half we have been enjoying Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, TN. Last night she checked the thread and yup Nutsy was still in Tennessee so this morning I made a quick trip to Oak Ridge!

So I had to wake Nutsy up, he was not thrilled,

But when I mentioned where I might take him, he climbed right up on my wife's bike. I rode her Vulcan instead of riding my XRL down I-40.

So back to Gatlinburg to pack up and pick up my better half.

Close up of Nutsy looking around.

Slow upload so the rest will have to come later.

So after waking up Nutsy and making a quick trip back to Gatlinburg to pick up MADnNC and pack out so we can hit the road

Nutsy view from my XRL

Rode through Newport Tennessee and saw this nice Veterans Memorial.

This was in Cocke county, TN and they had a Freedom Fence which listed all the Cocke county members that are currently serving in the Armed Forces!

After a few hours we mad it back to NC!!!

Then off to this American Treasure

Nutsy even rode with MADnNC and me to grab the NC ABC county tag!

All in all a great relaxing day riding!!

I haven't forgotten about placing the next tag just waiting out the rain that has settled over NC. I had hoped it would clear up today but if it doesn't soon, I will place him in an alternate spot then what I had planned.

Ok the rain has stopped and I took Nutsy for a ride. Not my original idea I will admit but hard to pass up some North Carolina (American) history.

Nutsy is resting here now

Or specifically here

The place is gated but not guarded. If you grab it at night just be respectful, get a couple of pics and go. I have been there both in the daytime and at night and at night it does have a different feel.

Down the Street is the Museum

Now someone go get him!!

Found the little bugger hiding here:

We even had time to snap a quick shot for a seperate, local tag game:

I'll document a few days with nutz then send him/her on it's way.
