Cool2

Right BEHIND the shrink's office though... was just what Nutsy needs...

A tough nut needs a hard shell to prevent corrosion!

No more Senor Rusty! After seven months in the "Pacific NorthWet - where it's green. And wet." he kinda' fits right in!

Here's hoping he looks better than this old boy after his next bout of exposure to the elements!

*I'd thought about having him inscribed "A More Liberal Land" but figured that'd cause some major head explody

Cool2 Nutsy visit's some "other" metal critters...

Stopped to talk w/this "Iron Maiden" in Steamboat Island...
She was diggin' the little bike - a 10 year Army vet w/some time in the sandbox under her belt, but she's forgotten how to ride her own bike (an '06 sumpthin' glide that's sitting @ home unridden - while her old man is gettin' tired of cartin' her around on the p-pad)...

We might get together sometime and let her run the DR around an MSF marked training area.

...also in Shelton

This huge saw wheel (~11 foot IIRC) overlooks the waterfront in Shelton as a reminder of Simpson and big lumber's importance to the area.

*Nutsy is in the picture too...

Cool2

Finished out the day @ BBQ with some friends (no pics - sorry... NOT)

But couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a couple more to try an' catch the sunset.

*This ~IS~ the PNW... sunshine optional... but get it when you can!

It's almost 2pm, had to do some other stuff earlier, but maybe I can squeek a shorty in before it starts to get colder again... no sunshine today.

Do you always let strange women you just meet hold your nutzy?

The road to Paradise

...runs through Elbe, WA.

This old locomotive has served as a landmark for decades. If'n you stay on the road to the left, it'll take ya' to Mt Rainier via the Nisqually Gate (also in the area, January's SNOWCAMP nearby).

On the approach to Ashford, there's a neat little spot that I've always wanted to stop and check... never did - before.
