Cool site but he is off on a few things. Like you should not wait 12k miles to change the shaft oil. it did not happen to me but I was warned years ago. The fairing looks good. I looked into see if the newer Euro full fairing would fit but could not find enough info. Yamaha should have made the 900 Turbo instead of the 650.

Wonder were he is located? He buys parts bikes.

Forest Road in Dragon Run State Forest

I saw on a map of the Dragon Run State Forest a forest road called CCC. It looks like a dirt road open to motor vehicles. It runs parallel to teh gravel road Truhart. Anybody been there?

N 37 degrees 42.587 minutes, W 76 degrees 48.448 minutes
TO
N 37 degrees 39.542 minutes, W 76 degrees 51.147 minutes

BillburgGS rode down that road a few weeks ago and said it was pretty rough and deep sand etc.

Yup, JHVA is right, I went down Truhart road as the front part of a cut through from 14 to 17.

Starts out nice, hard dirt. I ran into a few sections where it got very sandy and loose. Had to push through what I'd guess was about 3" of loose dirt/sand. A more experienced off road rider might not see that a much of a challenge. For me... I discovered my limits, at least for that afternoon. Was picking leaves out of my helmet and front brake lever for a while...

No sand today. It is wet. Good challenging road.

Had to keep to the center of this one.

Hey BillsburgGS, been there done that on the camera problems. One time I got the Tag and went to take the pic and battery in camera dead. Rode home 16 miles and got another camera and did a similar thing as you where I had no way to get the pic out of the camera, so rode home once more and borrowed my wife's camera. Now I have 2 cameras I carry when on a run. The Tag was the Virginia Tag that Graham had at New Kent Airport luckily it wasn't too far and got in some miles that day albeit frustrating as hell!

Tag map updated. Impressive: 59 Grabs since April 29th 2010 with a handful of players.

Make that 60 on Oct 28th 2010

Anyone need a tire change?

Mtngoat is coming over Saturday morning to change a tire on my tire machine. Anybody else is welcome to use it or come and watch.

Does anyone belong to this club?

I was just slumming around the dirt road leading into Shirley plantation looking to indulge my inner redneck and get mud on my bike and karma brought me to their site.

I checked it out but did not trespass and ride any of the trails. It's pretty impressive. Probably too much terrain for my abilities and my bike, but then again... who doesn't look with desire at "things" we'll never have...

I knew a guy that worked at Burchams that rode with them. They strictly rode motocross I believe. They had a KTM demo day over there a couple years ago.
