For anyone who is interested, we will be doing Klim demos and raffle at our ride in Sandpoint next month. Everyone is welcome to come and have a good time, we are roasting a pig and everything.

Technically, you can order it now. However, Klim still has not yet released official photos of it (Osteo basically scooped Klim themselves). I have photos but they are not final construction, and some details are still being tweaked. There is a lot of leaked marketing info, which makes it seem that things are ready, but a few product and release details are a step or two behind. They also have struggled lately with delivery, so I am going to be cautious. We feel is never good (well, it is good for the dealer...) to take a customers money when the delivery is a soft target.

It does have an arrival date of 8/1. I was planning to put it up 60 days ahead, so June 1. But as of Friday (two days ago...) official hi-res product images were not ready.

I would suggest you talk to the dealer of your favor, and make arrangements to get on the list, with the caveats above factored in.

If Klim ever decides to expand into the street segment, I'd buy a pair of those pants with a full length leg zipper.

Because, to be honest, the only time I really care about being dry is when I want to arrive dry, ie commuting, or when i'm wearing street clothes underneath.

They also have struggled lately with delivery.

That is the biggest challenge, to actually find the stuff when you decide to buy it.

Looks like its had some changes made to it since I tried that proto on. Namely the new color scheme. I prefer the subdued look of the proto myself. Still, gonna be a great jacket for all-weather DSers.

Same here. I prefer the look of the prototype.

I'm hoping they have a couple of colour schemes like they do with several of their jackets.

Okay. I'm hearing that the new colour scheme is what it's going to look like and there probably aren't any other colour options.
