Haven't arrived to the US yet. Adventure Spec over in the UK has them though.

The fleece collar will get wet and soak the inside layer. I have a jacket that has that now. Soft is nice, yes, but wet really sucks. Neoprene would be better.

A snap to keep the collar open would be nice. My transition jacket has this and it is great.

Longer sleeves and legs would be best.

My own thread and haven't been paying attention... shame on me!

Yes, the Traverse is significantly less weight than the Adv Pant - both in material and abrasion resistant zones. In a sense it would compare to the Valdez Parka, which may be a tad heavier, but when I spoke with Klim I was told that they (Valdez and Traverse) were the same materials. I wonder if it is due to the liner in the Valdez that seems to give it a bit more weight

I also agree with Country Doc - wearing the Traverse in tight single track (at least the stuff we experience up here) would eventually takes its toll on the Traverse pant, but that is also if you are wearing them on every ride. I typically wear Dakar's or Mojave's and when the weather looks like crap I put on the waterproof gear saving it for those occasions.

To answer the Vendors posting question - a valid point, but my original posting was for info purposes only so hopefully the thread stays here. If I was doing all this as a sales pitch, I'd do it in the Vendors (I know the rules and have had my wrists tapped before) - and besides I can't sell in the States anyway!

Finally for the brethren here in the north, expected delivery is slated for mid Nov, but it is just safer to say Dec.

Just out of curiosity, why do they get them in the UK first? Isn't Klim based in Rigby, ID?

Usually it means their qty came off the production line first, or they chose a faster boat.

Our customs is not always that fast either. Plus Klim US are inland, which adds another day or so.

Wonky,

What is the armor on these? Is it same d3o pieces from the ADV jacket, or a different material? Not yet able to get this info from Klim directly.
