Question Tellico Plains Area

Newbie here needs some help - Planning trip to this area mid may and making a 5-10 day loop. I plan on hauling bikes to this area to start and need semi safe place to park truck while I'm gone. Anybody have any suggestions or recommendations?

There's a Visitor Center in TP where I have left a vehicle overnight. They have a pretty big lot, so that might work for you.

The Farmhouse Inn...B&R...very bike and rider friendly! Great front porch and great food!

They are closed and under new ownership. The new owners are http://www.cmtrails.com/.

I would ask to stay first and last nights stay at the campground and see if you could leave your car and trailer there in between. With all there is to ride in the area you may find that you want to base camp or do a figure 8 type loop so you can have a restock and shower in the middle of the trip.

If you aren't really concerned where you start the trip, I have camp space here in Clayton GA, which puts you in the middle of the Dahlonega GA, Tellico Plains TN, Asheville NC triangle.

Two Wheels of Suches in GA is another good motorcycle basecamp option and they have an overflow lot you could ask about leaving truck and trailer.

As kingrj said, you can probably do it from here, you'll just have to give us a heads up on timeframe. See my threads below for rides. If you brought a street and dirt bike you could ride for at least a week from here and barely take the same roads twice (sometimes you have to just to portage from one area to next). You will have to stay a couple nights though if you plan on leaving it for up to 10 days. I don't have enough space to offer it to non-guests.

Thanks for all the input. We've done a lot of camping and day rides but looking for something a little different this trip. Going to try packing it all on the bikes and ride. Thanks for the offer Baggi'tard, we may take you up on it, had planned on hotel/motel first and last night anyway.
