Pink Lady, go grab it. Just go slow and you'll have no problem. I've ridden two up back there before, so I know you can do it. Hurc838 not so much faith in going there. I think he'd be scared.

Thanks for the kind words about the truck. It wouldn't be on the road if Hurc838 and another friend hadn't finished putting it together for me after I crashed.

I came down the hill mentioned. I am going to try and find a better way out. It's a little washed out. Thanks Gladius!

New tag.

Okay Grabbers. Here is your new Midlands tag:

The weather vane is the clue. Hint: There is an identical
weather vane at the other end of the street.

Good luck and enjoy this riding weather.

Grab! It's city hall in Camden. I am accompanied by my wife. She's the model with the bow and arrow.

[quote:]"King Haiglar is often called the patron saint of Camden. From about 1750 until his murder by hostile Indians in 1763, this noble Catawba chief was a valuable friend to the pioneers of Pine Tree Hill, as Camden was then known.

Some time between 1815 and 1826, J.B. Mathieu executed this 5'1" iron effigy of King Haiglar and presented it to the town. It has stood as a weather vane at other locations since then and was placed here when the Opera House (since razed) and its tower were built in 1886.[/quote]

This tag needs a Rescue. I'm in MO for training right now. Since ill be down for two weeks I sent my saddle down to Sargent to get new internals and some heat. I'll be able to grab all winter long.

There is a drive in car show today on Main St in Columbia. 2 whole blocks were closed off last month and it was really good. All the restaurants set up food/alcohol on the sidewalks, there are bands, belly dancers. Last time there happened to be a few bikes there. Bandy and I are going to go and meet up with a few of the people that we met last time. Hopefully a few other people can make it.We will be parking right in front of Mast General Store if we get there early enough on Main St north of the Capital building. If you ride your bike, the cops should let you in to park with us. Last time it went until about 10:30pm. Sorry for the last minute notice!

Oh and it's usually the first Thursday of the month. I'm sure they will stop for the winter eventually though.

And gimpy, I have all intentions of rescuing your tag, but work has prevented me from making it by the gate closing time. I thought really hard about sneaking back the day I got there too late, but decided against it. Hopefully tomorrow work will go well enough to get out in time to make it up there.
