Who gets hit by a mower on Santa Monica Blvd?!!

For what it's worth, my bike has been rear-ended twice. Once at a traffic light while stationary (drunk guy, I dropped the bike) and once while moving on the motorway (managed to stay on the bike). That was was 50-60000km ago, the final drive lives on.

Good luck with your case.

As soon as you can, get your insurance company involved (assuming of course that you have collision insurance, otherwise you'll probably be on your own). If not, check the City web site for information on filing a claim against the city and then hold on tight.

Glad you're OK.

Dealing with getting money out of the gubmint can be a challenge.......A friend of mine was in the wrong place at the wrong time, CalTrans dropped a fiberglass exit sign, (As it was being hoisted to be installed) and she drove THROUGH it. She was having no luck getting the state to pay for the damage to her car, but 6 months later, she got a bill from the state for their sign. It all worked out, once she lawyered up. Her insurance company paid for her car repairs -1000 bucks deductible. But they told her she was on her own for the sign.

Eatpasta you are an upstanding guy, it takes a cool person to be the brunt of so many jokes (we all mean well of course and are glad you were not injured) and then do it to yourself! That story mashup was hilarious.

when I was lying on the ground after that blender thing hit me, I was thinking "jeezus, did I really just get hit by a mower?"

then when I started to realize I was ok and moved to the curb, already the scene to me was comical.....

Ill spare you the tale of getting hit by the rental car that was driven by an uninsured driver that totaled the GS the first time.

you have to remember at any given time during the day, there are around 13,000,000 cars on the road in this town and, 12,999,994 of them are assholes that have no business behind the wheel of a go kart.

of those 13,000,000 cars, there are also some lawnmowers.... apparently
