Yes and No...

The cases and mounting hardware will work just fine. However, the Micatech exhaust lowering kit is not compatible with the 1150. Your options are to source a custom narrow exhaust or modify your exhaust position. Does that make sense?

On The Road

Tomorrow morning we leave for the BMW Georgia Mountain Rally in Hiawassee.

It's our first rally of the year and we're looking forward to some great mountain riding! Be sure to stop by our booth and check out the rally specials! If we don't respond promptly on ADVrider, this is why. We'll get back in touch soon and share some photos when we're settled in New Hampshire once again.

I have a remus low mount exhaust. Can I send you some photos off line to see if it will work?

I tried to get the Tiger deal. Earlier you said "Use coupon code "tiger" when placing your order", but there is no coupon code location. I guess I missed out

Do the new V2s side cases use the same mounts as the Pilots on the R1200GS ?

According to Micatech the upper mounts are the same, the foot peg mount slightly different (different case sizes).

That's correct. The hardware attached to the bike is the same (except for the footpeg mount). The 2 upper mounting blocks on the cases are the same (and in the same position). The Lower mounting block is the same block but rotated in a different position. Lastly, the rear crossbar is different. ThClear as mud?

Laugh Triumph Tiger 800(XC) Promotion Extended Through May!

Thanks to everyone who has purchased a set of Micatech V2 Cases and SW-Motech Racks for the new Triumph Tiger 800 and 800XC. We know you have luggage options and we thank you for choosing Micatech Motorcycle Luggage!

In these first few days of May we've received several emails and phone calls from riders asking if they can still get in on the Triumph Tiger 800(XC) Promotion. We were happy to oblige and decided to extend the promotion through the month of May. If you're still on the fence about luggage for your new Tiger, here's your chance to save $75 on a set of top notch panniers!

Full details here.

My cases arrived today, installing tonight! Super excited, the Reflectgard looks amazing in the dark garage, while I wait to start. I assume it's okay to use Locktite when putting all this together.

Pics to follow!
