You mentioned the cup holders, here's a shot of them hard at work in Mexico:

Do you have Micatech beer cozies to go with the drink holders?

Gaah!

I just bought a set and didn't see the promo until now!!

*sigh*

Despite that, I'm happy with the bags. I would recommend getting the locks right away (for the F800GS, not sure how it works on the 1200) since it would only take a quarter to steal them, and you'd save a bit on shipping if you get them at the same time.

Bob was nice enough to come in on a Saturday on his way to the Whitehorse open house so I could pick up my panniers.
They went on quite easily and the side loading is super. I have had Jesses in the past and these are much easier to use.

I just found this thread, is it too late to get the free bag liners?

Are you planning on making a backrest available for the top case?

If you are asking about mine, the left is 8"and the right side 10".

Yes, we're working on some prototypes now. If there are any features in particular that you'd like to see, drop us a PM and let us know your thoughts.

Roof Rack

Hello Riders,

Those of you who know Micatech know that we're a few folks with a passion for adventure riding. All of our products are made in our Hillsboro, NH shop. We're thankful for all of our customers and we enjoy hearing your feedback (both positive and constructive). One of the things we've heard is that you'd like an improved tie-down system. We listened to your feedback, played around with some ideas and made a first set of prototypes. Today we'd like to present the Roof Rack. It's a prototype and we're excited to hear your feedback.

-Shown on a (well traveled) KLR with 8" V2 cases - The system will be compatible with all of our cases
-Made from light weight and sturdy 2mm aluminum
-Textured black powder coat finish
-Securely mounted at 4 points by water tight stainless steel hardware
-Ample tie-down slots sized to accomodate plastic hook bungees and Rok Straps

-Built in beverage holders

-Center handle for comfortable one-hand carry of up to 45 lbs.

-Center handle adds security for a passenger

We understand that no two riders are alike and we can't expect to please everyone. However, we value our customers' feedback and want to include you in our product development process. So, we're excited to hear your feedback. Consider the following:

What do you like about this idea?
How could it be made better?
What additional features would you like to see?

Thank you, Riders. Feel free to drop us a PM if there's anything you'd like to discuss in more detail. Let us know if you'd like to see more photos or have questions.

They look pretty cool. I would like to see more pics, and are you sure once you install them the bags will remain waterproof? Oh yeah, how much?

We're putting them through the ringer now. Waterproofness is a key attribute that must be accomplished. Initial testing is looking good. Are there any specific photos you're interested in?

The pricing is yet to be determined. How much do you think the Roof Rack should cost? Yes, we really do want to know what you think. There’s no wrong answer—just say what’s on your mind and we’ll see what everyone has to say. Feel free to provide a specific number, a range, or any general input on price and value.

As far as pics, how they mount, how they install etc. Personally having the bags remain watertight is whats important. I have had my set for years and they have never leaked a drop, and I would like to keep it that way. For price it think between 50-100 would be great but I have no Idea what it costs to develop/market them.
