I'm planning on getting a set of the V2's this week. They will be on my Tiger and the SuperTenere. I am unsure of getting the 8" or 10" width, so I would be really interested in seeing pics of them mounted on your 800GS, especially the rear view!

I have 8" V2s on mine, from the back they do look wide, but they are within an inch or two of the width of the handlebars.

These are 10" V2's.

For the SuperTen I wish I had gone with 10" on the right and 8" on the left. I'll post pics of my smaller V2's soon.

Has anyone put a set of these on a Wee yet?

Why yes, they have.

I'm pretty pleased overall. They do fit a little loose on the pucks on my MoTech racks. I was considering tweaking the mounting flanges a little to snug up the fit; any suggestions before I go ahead?

The cases survived two naps on my last trip , no damage except scratched paint.

I too am disappointed that I missed any liner bag promotions that were going on.

The pics don't do the cases much justice, I'll post some better ones later.

They shouldn't be loose on the mounting mushrooms. You might need to tighten the stainless mushrooms.

Did you get the 8" or 10"?

I still need to post pics of mine with the roof racks attached.. My card reader isn't working with my new PC.

I'm not sure what the measurements are on mine, I have a 37 liter on the right and a 45 liter on the left.

My pucks are tight, it looks like the grooves in the pucks are wider than the material on the box that mates with them.

Hmm, you should give them a call and see what they say. The panniers definitely fit on the bike tightly and get a bit less tight with repeated installation and removal.

V2 cases are 4 way adjustable: Fore and aft, up and down.

The door reinforcement bar also has 2 drink holder indents, plus 2 threaded holes to store the butter fly nut that secures the case to the SW motech racks:

Roof rack has tie down / Rok strap slots, drink holders for campsite use, and the middle handles permit me to carry one pannier in each hand.

SW motech racks are quickly removable with quarter turn fasteners:

No heat issues from the exhaust.

Do you already or have plans to design a mounting system for the new Yamaha Super Tenere 1200?

Best Regards,

Shane

The V2 cases in 8" and 10" widths are available now for the XT1200 SuperTen. They both mount onto SW Motech quick release racks which are also already designed and produced and have shipped to dealers in markets where the bike is sold. Micatech is a distributor of SW Motech mounts and will carry mounts for the XT1200. I'll be getting a set too.

Yes, I had a Remus exhaust on my 1200GS and it worked fine with the Pilot cases.
