Diego,

I'm running a Supertrapp ISDT II quiet core(without any discs),with just the quiet core baffle. It's bolted right to a Mistral crossover. The 3" stainless universal bracket that makes for a seamless installation is not offered in the online catalog.Tell them that you want one($9) when you order the can.
The can is very mellow at low revs but makes beautiful music when you get into it.And with the supplied discs you can reduce the db's down to very low levels if you wish.
If your plugs are reading lean(tan color)now.I would recommend a PCIII/Dyno tune with any can and possible air box/Filter mods.
Historically the stock ECU's are set for pretty lean ratios to pass emissions. This can be exacerbated by exhaust/intake mods.

Nice CT!

Cool,
thanks for the info.. I'll check that out.
My ECU is a Marelli factory retrofit for the Early ones with the Flat Spot between 3200 and 4000 RPM. This was done by the original owner along with the other mods.. The only thing i want to change is the muffler(to get as much of that open guzzi sound as possible).. Maybe also I will think about tubeless wheels one of these days..

best,
d

Diego,

You said you want the MG sound.Check it outhttp://www.supertrapp.com/product_se...t.asp?CatID=33It's the bottom product listed on the page.19" Quiet core.

Yes, it's LOUD without any disks.

What color are your plugs running now ?Any Air box mods?

I'll have to pull the plugs and check.. This is awesome!! I'll probably go for this pipe..

By the way, here are the mods that I bought my bike with:

Hyperpro springs front and back
The Brake Fluid is DOT5 Silicone
The Air Filter is k&N and the Airbox Cover is drilled
the Crash Guards are Hepco and Becker
The seat base is original. The actual seat is Rick Meyer
The rear Wheel is Buchanans Custom with HD Spokes offset 5mm to the left to accomodate larger back tire.
The Mirrors are Napoleon.
One of the Horns was replaced with an Automotive Fiamm (The Left one) because the original died.
The Mid Exhaust is a custom made stainless piece.
The Muffler is original but the core is drilled with 1/2" drillbit in 3-4 places making it much more free flowing.
The Petcocks are manual instead of the original electric ones(gave you original parts).
The "Outsider piece drops the Sump and relocates the oil filter outside the sump. The Outsider is sold by Harpers Motoguzzi.

I have the outsider also.Pricey but worth it.
The reason I asked about your plugs. If your running towards lean now(light tan plug reading) the much less restrictive can with your other mods could cause dangerously lean conditions. This could open up a whole new "can of worms".
With my K@N,air box mods,Mistral crossover and Supertrapp. The stock ECU was Super lean.Off the chart 17:1 lean!!!The addition of a Power Commander III and Dyno tune took care of the problem nicely(76 RWHP).
If you change the can I would definitely go with the PCIII to optimize performance and probably save the engine from permanent damage.

Great Photo

Wow! that quota looks like its in its proper environment..
I'm assuming that is in Costa Rica??

By the way, is that a new back tire??? It looks knobbier than what I remember from the last photos.

Hi Diego...
may be too humid sometime as a proper enviroment for the quota....
but last week the weather was fine...and sunny
yes it is the caribbean coast , a friend of mine owns this campground right on the beach...
..actually it's the original pirelli tire the bike came out of the factory with (now 4000 miles)...strangely enough it looks bigger in the picture than in reality...
soon I'll have to contact this buchanan guy who laces up rims with 5 mm offset ...then you'll see the larger tire
(I just hope they ship to latin america)
Saludos

My bike is back together after a complete winter tear down, inspection, & overhaul:

I finally put 2 and 2 together the other day and figured out that this thread was started about my bike, but two owners back. Quota ownership is a small fraternity...
