Funny, your bags dont look as wide as mine in your pic.. are you sure they're not a 30 liters?? I feel mine are too wide also (for city driving).
I'm looking to scale down bagwise..

Hey, Congrats. Beautiful bike..

Yep, lights on crashbars come on with high beams. Lights under headlight just switch on. As far as bags go its a 40 liter on the left and 30 on the right. Maybe this pic shows it better.

Sorry I'm so slow. I have no idea who did the seat. It has a gel insert but I think the rest of the foam is probably stock. No idea why they did the gray patch in the back.

Anybody know where there is another for sale? Got a buddy looking for one.

One of them that makes the most sense is the seat bolt have been replaced with ball detent srews. No need to remove the sidecovers to remove the seat.
Do you have a link for these screws or even a picture. I have done a google and cannot find them. Yours Gmacz

Quota wanted

I am in the market for a Quota. The local Guzzi dealer, MPH in Houston, said somebody called him and was going to bring one in for consignment, but he never showed.

Since Quota owners are a fairly small group, I thought I would bump this thread and see if somebody here knows him. He was apparently on active duty overseas and is back and wants to move on to something else.

If this guy sounds familiar, please have him PM me.

There are two Quotas for sale on the MGNOC classifieds list.

No interest, just passing the info along.

Rear Shock

Only have 12,000 miles on my Quota but the rear shock is shot. Anyone know if it can be repaired or where I can find a replacement?

Crashbars, Pegs, and Handlebar Risers

I have a 2002 Quota 1100 ES and I need some advice. First, I want to protect the bike with crashbars. Second, I need larger, lower adventure foot pegs. Third, I need to raise the handlebars about two inches so I can ride standing up. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I can get these accessories that will fit the Quota?

Thanks

Not really sure. My bike has a hugs stack of washers under the handlebar risers, but there is probably a better solution. I would recommend you ask these questions on the yahoo quota group - those folks are more likely to be tapped in to the few remaining Quota parts sources.

Hey just curious I came across this locally and am going to take a look at it tomorrow. Any thing I should be looking for when buying one of these?

Sounds like too good of a deal.
