Hey locul,
I have a great solution for your efi woes. Ditch the fuel injection and slap some fcr's on that bitch.

Long legged update.
Got my support package from Mr Pyndon. Really don´t have the time for it and the garage is freezing. I´m soon off work for almost 4 weeks. There should be time to achieve some lost goals. Denmark is actually covered in snow. Valja loves it, she hasn´t seen much snow in her life. ![]() Package arrived. ![]() uhhh... ![]() aiii... ![]() BIG picture for Pyndon. Good luck Mr Dakar. Will be watching you closely. ![]() Top. ![]() Dollar ![]() Just need the rear shock mounted though it is a bit difficult. Probably need to take of the rear frame. Time will tell. I´m stoked. This have been my dream from the start to have some real (imho) racing pedigree mounted. 320mm is in my world and have always been unobtanium. Thanks for making it possible Pyndon. Now i still have the problem with this shitty immobiliser. How the hell do i activate an immobiliser. Is it not activated when paired with the said ecu? I still get 2 short, 1 sec, 1 short blink. I´m pretty sure that is my last stand in my efforts to start this franken-scooter. Updates will follow. |

Man I tried every way in the world to justify that suspension and have it shipped over here but I just couldn't do it. Look sweet. Glad it went to someone that will use it.
On my RC8 I think there is a master key that is orange and this is what's used to "activate" the chips in the keys. That or your not supposed to let the orange and black keys touch. Something like that. I just woke up. Let me dig around outside and see if I have my manual. It should say.

Obviously I want to see you get the full FI system working on your RC8 as that was your goal and I'm sure you'll get it eventually but if you do throw in the towel you know there's a nicely sorted carb option - you just need the 950 harness. That is just a last resort of course. Stay on the imobilizer - you'll get it.

Funny you said it, just thought of it today in a moment. Used some googlefoo and got a measure on how much 72ish cui would need. Ca 211 cfm at 10.000rpm and then i got lost. I think i would need the cfm to measure the size of the carb. The throttle bodies on the RC8 is 52mm. Could i just copy/paste those?

May be able to fire off an email to KTM Twins or KTM themselves and just ask. Tell them what you are building and just see what they say.
EDIT: someone on another forum had to reset his immobilizer on his RC8 and the process was turning the orange key on and off 5 times. Said it worked for him.

Last suspension got sorted this evening. Sheeees its tall.
Had to sort out the rear. The longer reservoir meant that i needed to lift the subframe. ![]() All the powder coating is good, but makes a tight fit. Rubber mallet and its on. ![]() Yay ![]() ![]() Getting close. ![]() At last on its own weight again. Looks so funny with the standard sidestand. ![]() ![]() Unholy cow, i´m fecking stoked. This is a huge step in my world domination plan. ![]() out

How come you moved the subframe to get the rear in? Mine was a direct remove / replace once the mud guard was removed.
Have you routed the rear exh headers yet? It's a tight fit with the swingarm being angled further down
