The group at the lake:

Newner and Jumpjet checking their GPS co-ordinates and looking confident:

After a very helpful phone tech support session with DirtyDog, Newner jumped into action and performed KLR brain surgery. Of course he wouldn't be able to do it without Dirt2007 supervision:

The rest controlled the situation from a safe distance:

I am beginning to think, with Newner, it probably isn't the bikes fault! Does anyone have more problems with his bike(s)? How would you do if you had to haul that hunk of manflesh around? I feel sorry for anything he throws a leg over!

Well . . . he was told that the safety switches would give him problems. He didn't want to fix them and see what happened

I can't wait to hear about the first water crossing before he gets the "T" mod done

Yeh - he had some switch problems. But the last problem (yep there was anonther one) was he was out of gas. Before the ride, a few motorcycles filled up - but not Newner, "I don't need no stinking gas". Does this sound familiar to anyone.

We're going to have to have a rule for Newner - when other bikes fill up you fill up too.

I know ... OFF TOPIC.

If you plug in 35.959598,-96.354035 into google maps it will show you where we were turned back due to lack of road that's supposed to be there. We were traveling from East to West. A fun little dirt road with mud, ruts and the like. May have to try it from the other side.

Well, we ate some breakfast and then went on a search mission to find Lake Hayburn (or something like that). Then we explored some dirt roads ... well, some of us. In the process we lost Newner.
When we found him he had half of the KLR disassembled. He put it back together with only a few pieces left over and we headed towards Sappaloopa to visit a local watering hole called Pat's Place.
Newner left early and our waitress was so impressed with my manners that she tried to hook me up with her sweet looking daughter. I'm supposed to go there again on Tuesday night to meet her in person. If she's at least half as pretty as her picture (the mom was very proud of her daughter and she showed me her pix) it may be a home run :oP
After that I followed JumpJet to Jenks and then I headed back home.
Good Saturday morning :)

WTF!!!!!! u suck So is the whole group going to Pat Place to see if we approve?? OK back to the pub crawl thread...

I almost posted here tonight...I brought home some crappie from Grand Lake. More than the wife and I could eat... It wasn't bad.
