I find myself wanting an obsolete british half faired touring bike.

That is a 4cylinder. A 4 cylinder at 19,000 RPM has to sound AWESOME! I'd take one, but alas, they were never imported to the US. As it is, I enjoy reving the 250cc V-twin on my VTR250 to its 13,500 RPM redline.

The Aprilia now, I think you can get here, but only for "off-road" use. I did see an RS125R with street tags one time though.

The RS125 is still available in the shops here, sold restricted to 15hp, and
road legal. It costs just a tiny bit less then Kawasaki ER6n, or the Aprilia
Pegaso Strada 650 though.

There's also one Derbi GPR 125 2 stroke leftover (from 2007!!) available
locally, same story, 15hp restricted, good for 90mph derestricted.
Engine from the Yamaha TZR 125.

I think anything with a shifter, especially on a low powered engine is a pain
around town. Great? Probably not. Fun? HELL YEAH!

How would that help? "Honey bum, sugar plum, apple of my eye, A man halfway around the world thinks that doing this is the proper thing, so can I?" Especially considering that this site is for a particular brand of two wheeled crazy.

As I have said before, A Girlfriend has no say. A fiance is a girlfriend with a ring. A wife is the one that can lay down the law.

That goes both ways btw.

Do it.
I'm about to turn 40. I look back on me at 30 and have no regrets about wishing I'd bent to the will of a girlfriend more. If anything, I wish I'd had less girlfriends since all my exes seem now to have corralled some guy into minivan/mortgage/kids land while I escaped that trap.

Would I repeat it to your gf? You bet. I'm not sleeping with her. What do I care?
