The Husky is light and flickable, but I have been spoiled by torque. I feel like I am strangling the Husky even with some of the mods I have done. I've never ridden a 690 (Duke or SMC) so that may be a more powerful single to consider. I'm definitely now leaning towards a v-twin or triple for some character and more power.

I just ran across a used 2011 Triumph Tiger 800XC, 1200 miles, $8999, at a shop about an hour away. So tempted.

In doing a lot of rotations for my Physical Therapy program, I spend time with people in geriatric care. Never seen a guy in a home yet who wishes he'd bought less motorcycles and ridden less.
He, or she, might be out there. But, if they are I bet they also argue that beer is the devil's drink and that women should cover their ankles.

Do eeeeeet!

Today, well this week, is all about a 2 bike combo: CT110, and Blackbird. I don't have a freeway commute anymore so I don't have any decent reason for the Blackbird, but I really liked them when they came out and now I'm seeing them on craigslist for 3-4.5k, which seems like an amazing amount of bike for the money.

The CT110 is justifiable in so many ways: cheap, keeps miles off my XR650R for running around town, small and approachable enough that my wife is considering learning how to ride if I get one.

the xs1100:

and to make things worse their are 2 for sale near me, a beautiful clean 1979 one for $2100 and a not so clean 1978 one for $800 but I know that I can't own a second bike right now. Not enough time or money plus Im still in college.

After 20+ years of riding, I want one of these........

I'm starting do some longer multi day tours and I need comfort, but still want a bike that can handle well. I found a nice 2007 at my local dealer and really want to get it. All I have to do is convince the household Opposition Minister. I think I may go test ride it and just bring it home for her to see, then do a lot of begging and pleading. I don't think I'll get bored this bike.

Good luck Nova Boy. I think the STs are cool too. I may, just may replace my VFR with one. My VFR is tired at 100K. A fellow commuters ST feels like it just stepped off the showroom floor and it has 120K and d if anything it's had less care than my bike. They're big and heavy but comfortable and really agile for their size.
ST's remind me of a warm blood horse or vintage Jaguar, bigger than they should be but pretty good at anything you want to do with them..

Was piloting my Connie down I-83 the other night after a great moonlight ride around Loch Raven. I'm zipping along and one of these walks past me;

.....now I'm pricing one.
