Absolutely. A good riding friend of mine took the afternoon off with me to kick tires this afternoon. He loved it so much he's got a test ride booked next week. If he likes it as much as he thinks he will, he claims he's selling his Heritage and buying it. That'll be his first non-HD in twenty years. If that's any indication, Honda might accomplish something they haven't done much of in years: establishing an intended market, and then selling successfully into it.

Funny you should say that. The sales guy - an acquaintance of mine whom I know to be a Tenere-rider and not a fan of Honda (he was stunned I bought their VFR12 awhile back ) - described it as "shockingly smooth", and said it was noticeably quicker and easier-handling than the Goldwing, too. The one thing I still can't believe: it doesn't come with cruise control, and he wasn't showing that it was even a dealer-installed option.

I just read the deluxe model has some nice options like heated grips and others but didnt mention cruise. I think it looks really nice for a cruiser and you could log some serious miles. Only 62 lbs lighter than the Wing.
