A vintage pushrod engine is interesting because it's old. A modern one is something of an anachronism and is of no interest to me for that reason.

While it may have no "real" connection with the original it sure looks the part and is the exact modern "classic" I want the new Bonneville to be. Kind'a fell in like with the one I saw at the motorcycle show! I'd have to take a serious look if they ever do actually make it here. $15k may be high but what do expect from a small custom maker? It's only money anyway, What is a big smile worth??? As for push rods, who cares as long as it works for the application? Chevy and harley seem to do alright with them?

$55k?!? How much for one with a muffler?!?
It will be interesting to see if Pierre Terblanche can make it even less attractive?! ![]() Quote:

![]() I like this one. Cool styling (tho not a fan of the seat). 172.2 mph on the salt flats and claimed 200mph on asphalt...not that I'd ever have the guts to ride it that fast, oh well

Sorry; Clip-ons, rearsets, 100+ extra pounds, cheap suspension and 10+ less HP? No thanks! even at half the price.

I'm out of the loop. Why is this so much better than the HD Iron 883 (@ the same price)?

vs a 15k norton clone? you're paying for a cheap copy either way, the triumph is just cheaper. At least the trumpet has halfway decent dealer support and a growing aftermarket and pretty much the same performance. The "norton" has... a name?

It was just announced but the specs say it's got more power, less weight, more ground and cornering clearance, and better suspension bits from the factory. For the same price.
