I was expecting something like a B-King or MT-01, it even feels smaller than VMax.
Haa haa the bags & tail are off the Strada, it's cheaper to swap the seat & tail off a Strada than it is to get the wheels off a Carbon.
Besides all Ducati's should have a little red in them.

Oh I dunno... in days gone by I've embarrassed quite a few guys on sport bikes, with far less capable bikes than that vintage Duck, with lesser tires.

When I sat on it, it didn't feel flickable, it felt tiny and squished. I had expected it to be bigger but itwas one of the smallest and most uncomfortable full size motorcycle I have sat on. I'm 6'1" and my girlfriend who's 5'7" also said it felt small compared to the bikes she had sat on at the motorcycle show.

Yesterday and today I really want one of these. Just sold my beloved 990smt and tested an 1190. It was a great bike but I just prefer the 990. I have been all over the place trying to decide what to get next, but I always come back to the KTM.

Without doubt it is the new KTM 1290 Superduke R. The specs are a bit mind blowing for me. My current street ride is a 2010 KTM 990 Supermoto R which is a light bike for a big v-twin and has a fairly short wheelbase so very agile. My SMR is tweaked a bit so probably makes 120hp and 70 ftlbs of torque. This new 1290 is a little bit lighter and has a slightly shorter wheelbase than my SMR and makes a claimed 180hp and over 100 ftlbs of torque. Damn! My next bike for sure!

I have a Z1000.

I have no desire for top speed.

A benefit is of such silly power, is that there is plenty of power available at any engine speed; not just at the peak. My bike pulls hard from any RPM above 2500, pulls like mad above 4000, rips arms off at 7000.

And all the while, is all day comfortable... IMO.
