That F800GT is such a great looking bike. That bike needs more motor to whet my whistle, although I'm sure it is perfect for most. I would like to see a 1100/1200cc version. It would be a great alternative to the Ninja 1000. I really like the Ninja 100, but I think the F bike is so much easier on the eyes.

And ninja 1000 insurance is kind of crazy. It's a zx10 as far as the insurance companies are concerned.

Looks and specs out much like a VFR to me, save the way cooler motor and larger fuel tank of the Honda. In SoCal at least, one can pick up a clean, low mileage VFR800 for about 40% of what that Beemer costs, AND it's a Honda. Made 'em in white as well.

Both are nice bikes to be sure. I'd trust the Honda more.

I'm sitting on my hands until I see what the Yamaha 850 triple ends up in next year. The GT is a much more well-thought out bike than the outgoing ST though, IMO.

Magnets falling off the flywheel(on my 2nd in 30k), weak stator design( on my 3rd in 30k), regulator issues(after 2 o.e. ones , now on my 3rd, an aftermarket one), ECU failures(on #2, likely because of charging system issues), clutch basket issues(on #2 now), chain / sprocket alignment issues, etc..
It's not that I do not like the bike but, I don't buy G.M. products anymore because of the same type things that keep happening....

The 2014 vstrom is a redesigned engine, so I don't think the old problems will apply, unless you just want to be bitter about it. There is no chance in hell they're using the same ECU.

I still want one of these:

Or, I want that motor in this body:

In white, too.

Maybe a K1300GT in white exists, somewhere, but it is still a bit too heavy for me - not to mention nearly twice the price of a N1K.
