I'm back to wanting this one:

I even called one of the Local Honda dealers to inquire about the price. They were still closed, so I had to leave a message.

I've been looking for a first-year '85 FZ750 in clean, reliable condition for a while now. Unfortunately, they all seem to have disappeared or been trashed and neglected beyond salvaging.

Sure, they're nowhere even close to a competitive sportbike anymore, but if I could find one, I'd slap a Corbin saddle, stainless brake lines and soft bags on it and have a great short-haul sport-tourer. What a pretty engine!

Make mine orange. Actually I'm kinda glad it's getting cold enough that I can't ride. This way I can wait for the R model that's sure to come.

You're dreamin'. Yamaha by and large doesn't DO multiple trim models of bikes, and I'd be stunned if they did one of a bike that they've obviously built to an aggressive price point. But...I've been wrong before.

They are already making two trims. The standard and the adventure.

One more wouldn't hurt and they may do more than trim and make a true sportbike with the motor like a Daytona.

Ummm... What'cha talkin' about?

No standard or adventure for the FZ-09, and the Daytona is a Triumph!

I have this sickness too. I've been poking the weeds and barns for a defunct 3/4 liter 80's/90's Honda product I can ressurect. I'd love an old Hurricane 1000 too.

But people are still asking some stupid prices for them in ragged condition.

I dunno, the R1 came with olins for a short while as a different trim model.

Standard

Street Rally / Adventure trim

Yes I know the Daytona is Triumph, but what I'm saying is Yamaha will make a playform simmilar to the Daytona but with the 09 engine.

Like an R6 triple.

Thats not an adventure bike per se, it's just accessories added on by the factory to give it a different look but same bike. Some dealer in the UK came up with it and Yamaha liked it
