GSX-650F 539 lbs. wet
CBR-650R 461 lbs. wet - claimed weight

Looks more like 78 lbs. to me if Honda is giving us accurate numbers.

450-475 lbs. is my sweet spot for a non-track middle weight. However, the Honda looks to have a budget suspension and from the swing arm to the fittings, appears to be another bike built solely to a price point. I'm going to have to wait and see.

If KTM will only import the RC-390 to the US, I'll forgo the middle-weight for a light-weight with high(er) quality components.

Well, went to the tax man today, got my return, not enough for my 950SE, or my FS570, but might be enough for one of these, and it's what I want to add to the garage as a daily driver:

We'll see, depends on whether I should do the sensible thing and pay off some bills. Or convince myself that buying the DL is sensible because it will save me enough in gas to pay off bills later.

I need to make up my mind !!!!!
I just add to the list:
the NineT $17500
The F800GT $15,000
or the new R1200RT $23,900

GRISO is $16500
The custom is $20,000

Damn. I'm like a lady in a shopping center during a sale!

I need a bike to commute to work sometimes when in the mood and tired of the car. Also I Want to be able to ride to some errands and occasionally ride out of the city.

I'm lusting for a 2014 R1200GSA.

Way out of my price range though. And overkill for what I do with a bike. But man. That thing makes we want to hop on and explore the world.

It looks like Yamaha may have already stolen the best bang for your buck sporty ride segment with the new FZ09 and or maybe the FZ07 though. Suzuki had that, hands down, for over a decade with the SV.

i dun get the gladius hate (obviously) -- it's still an sv650 mill, with the riding experience largely intact right down to the shitty rear suspension and notchy low speed fueling! i mean, it's not like you're stuck with the og melty headlight and batmobile radiator cowls if you don't want 'em!
