I've ridden one a few times, and never ONCE had people guess it's only a 250cc
bike. The engine has a fake casing around the real deal, it looks AT LEAST
650!

Big bulky thing, but still a small, manageable bike, with enough power too
(28hp and a proper V-twin).

I guess I'd like something like a Moto Guzzi V7 with a 250cc V-twin

Dude, he said bikes you would want

From a Thai motorcycle forum this suggestion of what it might look like, though I'd like a little less street triple and a little more T21...but that is a function of my age.

Jonesing for a TU250 lately...the simplicity, light weight elemental goodness of it is really tugging at me. What is annoying is that they are apparently really difficult to find. Seems like every bike I express an interest in is really difficult to find!

Two of these will buy a house with a garage, but the glory is priceless.

There is some lunatic near me that keeps posting his California-plated CR500 dualsport on Craig's List.

He is a lunatic for building it, and a damned fool lunatic for selling it.

And I'm a lunatic for wanting it, but I'm actually worried that it may be too brutal for the street -- I rode them in the dirt in the '80... back when I was young and bulletproof, I thought they were stupid but entertaining - faster than the brakes, and faster than the chassis.

I ain't no spring chicken, and that won't improve with time, so I feel like I ought to be getting crazy bikes while there is still some hope I can utilize some modest majority of their potential.

Maybe an Aprilia SXV 550 would be more sensible.
