I've seen the older 199X KLRs, but none since then.
I'm rather sure it's available SOMEWHERE in EU, but there's no market
for it here where I live.

I doubt that the KLR is a big seller where you are at, ya'all get all the "Good" stuff vs. the Hardly Ableson clones that sell so well over here in the States...
You should see some of the reactions when I pull up to a group of riders on my 1k V-Strom.. Stuff like; How'd you get that one thru Customs? They "Freak" when I tell them that they were imported for 10 or so years so far....
This mindset also explains how "OBummer" was elected last time tho... Stupid people not taking time to educate themselves...

There are quite a few ADV riders in the USA, but bringing politics into the discussion doesn't help much. There are other threads for that garbage.

And sold very few because they are a of a bike and butt ugly to boot.

I do not necessarily agree with my post I just thought it an appropriate response to his own offensive post. So far as this thread goes Brand bashing is childish and as stated above take the politics to the basement.

It was a toss up between trading my '06 Street Glide for the '12 Road Glide or keeping the Street Glide and adding an XR1200X. In the end I figured owning 3 bikes (just picked up an '09 DR650 last month) really wasn't practical as one of the 3 would rarely get ridden so the choice was to go with the new Glide.

A short test ride was all I needed to see the improvements (better handling '09-later frame, 6-speed tranny, 6-gallon tank, Brembro brakes, 103" engine) over my '06. Now I just have to sort it out for my small stature with seat and handlebars.

I have been bikeless since June 1. I am going insane!!!

Right now I am dreaming of a 2012 Yamaha FZ1 (it's white!)

Picture it with a Corbin seat (f+r), Givi P35's with matching white panels. Engine guards and a Givi touring windshield.

I like to have one project/toy bike and once I finish my 73 Cb450 project I would love to rip around the town on one of these. Or one of these with some type of crazy motor swap. Looks like fun!
