The VTR250 doesn't sell well here (EU) either, I don't think I've seen a
single one on the street, and a local dealership had one for at least 2
years in stock.

Part of the problem is it's more expensive then a Ninja 250, and smaller
displacement bikes are often bought only by kids here so the Ninja is a
lot more appealing to them visually. And again, cheaper. Not to mention
faster too.

I'd gladly ride one of those, put on a pair of high quality exhausts, and
slap on a Ducati badge for shits'n'giggles. That bike must be a riot to ride.

I'm sure it is. I have a 1990 VTR250 that is the ancestor of this one. It is a blast to ride, but nowhere near as pretty to look at, as it is mostly encased in plastic.

With the plastic off, the frame (of the '90) is pretty plane, so making it naked won't make it as pretty as the newer naked VTR. I LOVE the lattice-work frame of the naked one (which is also what gives the Ducati Monster the look I like so much).

I call ya, and raise you a +1.

You've got some nice bikes there already.
Throw the breva or v7 my way, and I'll send the VTR your way!

I'm working on a 2000 Goldwing GL1500SE for a friend... I knew I shouldn't have ridden it...

I want a mutant bike, an offspring of a Ninja 1000 & CBR600.

If anyone is willing to breed their CBR with my Ninja, please PM me. Thanks.

Okay. I got to sit on a 72 this weekend, and yeah, I'm in love.

Too bad I can't afford it.

That seat didn't quite feel as uncomfortable as I thought.

NEVER even considered wanting anything HD, although I did have a thing for a few Buells....

Still don't want anything even remotely cruiser-ish, but, damnit! For some reason, here lately I've been lusting after bikes like this...

Of course a re-invigoration of my old Buell fetish got it all started and I can't say that an old tuber hasn't been on my mind a lot lately too....

Well, that and this video that I found in Bloodweiser's "Go Sportsters" thread:

Saw one of these in the flesh at my local Suzuki shop and was somewhat smitten by it.

This would be an excellent bike if it was 100lb less. 567 lb DRY is hard to swallow. Nevertheless the rags have good things to say about it, particularly the handling & torque. You should check out the modified version that I believe Sport Rider? built.

EDIT: Here it is http://www.sportrider.com/bikes/146_...a/viewall.html

Yeah, they're available, cost 50% more then in USA and most people
here don't make over $600/month; do the math.
