Who we got for ADV riders in Atlantic Canada? - Page 12

What kind of range are we looking at to get to State Lake? A MSR Dromedary bladder would suffice for the extra range. Cheap and tough as nails as long as the lid is taped shut. Many on this forum have used them.

Have any of you looked at Mount Carleton prov. pk. I know I keep throwing it out there but it seems fitting for what were looking for if were going to have a base and get out and ride. After this I'll shup up about it.

Hi--great plan for a ride. Last fall, I stayed at the Spruce Camp in Mount Carleton Park--the cabins are just a few feet back from the shore of Nictau Lake. Awesome and not expensive, its meant for groups to rent. Definitely worth looking into.

Hey Megan, Glad you chimed in. I didn't even know that the park had camps there. How many people can stay in that camp. I guess I could check the website....

Hi Zaner, yes, nice to see a few familiar names in here.:) It sleeps either 12 or 16--I can't remember. Spruce Camp is on the same side of Nictau Lake as Mount Sagamook. Has a generator, big kitchen with basic appliances, long table for all to sit, bunk rooms for 8 people off the main room and then 2 or so cabins with bunks. And a real washroom. But best of all, a big porch looking over the water. I'd like to spend a few extra beers there this year.

MP5's (hey MP5!) link shows the refurbishing on Spruce and some of the other camps. I don't know about the other camps. Yes, Steve to cook...

general invite to Mattawamkeag Campout, located in Mattawamkeag, Me. 'bout 16km north of Lincoln, Me and then 11km into the woods to campground, July 28,29
Inmates typically ride the area then camp Sat. night and ride again in the general direction of NB on Sunday
nothing provided but a nice place to camp and a fire to play in....

good riding for the bigger d/s bikes but riding is available for smaller 2 track stuff / atv trails in the area

I'm thinking of a trip to the North Shore sometime this summer with a thought to explore the interior Gaspe, possibly interior NB. I've based out of the Campbellton, Dalhousie area many times. Here's some pic's from our 2009 NS "Off the Beaten Path Ride" and of the 2010 250th Commemoration of The Battle of The Restigouche . I'd enjoy finding some other adv riders in the NB/QC area to have a beer, or three, with.
