Don't typically but it would be fun to line a few adv rides up among the pirate ships
Next warm/warmish Thurs/Fri might be a good get together. Could throw it up on the dualsport page as well.

A greater effect is achieved if you are all covered in mud, fixing a flat with a rail spike through the tire, and having great time doing it

I'm sure somebody will chime in with GPS and other co-ordinates but if you search for "Serpentine Lake New Brunswick" in googlemaps you're going to be very close - the lodge isn't on the lake but you can see the lake from the lodge.

It was fun getting together on Sunday and putting some faces to some names. We did talk about Skibum's Soiree being the same weekend and in future I'm sure we'd all prefer not to be doing this at the same time, this year, though, it just boiled down to the only time that worked for most and as Fundyrider said, we all felt a date needed to be picked.

Always great to meet some new riders. Slabbin' it to Saint John was a bit tedious, but the ride back involved more dirt, and that's always more fun... Now that we have a date, and a bit of a plan, all we need is to build up some tracks or routes that people can use. Time to get to work..............

What's the plan?

Is the date the same as mentioned before by Fundy Rider? Labor Day weekend?

Yes , the dates are as Fundy Rider noted, Labour Day weekend, destination for Saturday is Serpentine Lodge leaving Sunday for some area riding and Monday for all to make their way back home.

There may be a meeting point just outside of Millville on RTE 585 for the guys coming from Maine and the group Fundy Rider could be bringing along, camping and accomadations can be provided there with the expectation of leaving Saturday morning for Serpentine ( it will be about a 5-6 hour ride off road ) from the Millville location.

So, the framework is falling in place and as zaner32 has mentioned we need to consider some routes and finalize some take off points,

Looks like some scouting trips coming up in the near future

What goes on Thurs/Fri night?

Willing to show some N.B. faith your way to meet some of you and get your asses out to the Rally.

Need a bit of time to scrape some change and maybe a place to pitch a tent.

It's sort of like the BMW/Starbucks thing, ride 10 mins to get there, stand around and talk about all the miles you put in, then ride 10 mins home

Hey Fundy, if you don't get a better offer, I've got tent space in the yard and a dry garage about 20 mins from the waterfront...although that distance may be breaking some sort of rule

Thurs/Fri night in Halifax

Sometime in June I'll come up. I'll let you know and check with the ones that offered some tent space when it would be good. IF possible could I drag a fellow inmate if he is interested?

Don't mind going solo and plan on taking as much dirt as possible on my return so anyone willing to join me would be welcome.

Hope to see many of you there once a date is figured and posted.

One question. Since it's a BMW starbucks things should I ride the KTM and wear the KLR Jacket or ride the KLR and wear the KTM jacket?

No pun intended to those that ride there BMW's beyond starbucks. It's just for kicks and giggles.

Staying the weekend in the Kingston area? I'm on days Fri and Sat, but have a fridge full of suds and a place to stop and shoot the shit. PM me if you're around the whole weekend.
