Bon Anniversaire on Avenue Cartier...

...when coming here take your loved ones on this street of restaurants for a treat to fullfill your commitment of togetherness and love.

It's our 35 anniversary and we decided to celebrate it on the road. My wife Sharon, the butter on my bread and love of my life deserves nothing better today....she got a pair of SHOES..wooo...

My Oma ("grandmother" in German) always reminded me: "never go cheap on good shoes and good food")

On the way to the ultimate gastronomical enlightenment

Local Fraises...

The second loves of my life..

Our recommended choice of restaurant to celebrate Bon Anniversaire..
Grafitti on 1191 Avenue Cartier

She's happy I remembered our Anniversary...

The feast...

You can even go downstairs and pick your bottle..

Or have a private dinning experience in the wine cellar..

Compliments le Chef..

Taking a leisure stroll back to the B&B..

great place to be...stroll around local neighborhood..

Bonne Nuit mes Amis....

Many thanks for all the well wishes...you guys rock

We were allowed back into the US of A and are in Morrisville, Vermont resting our weary bodies after being harrased with cold, heavy rains and gale force winds . We haven't been dry since Matane, QC.

This actually should cease our ride report after crossing the US border as the report was intended to be from Canada only however we're going to extend it a bit to include some US preludes for a while. Stay tuned...

Glad to see you made it back to the U.S. intact. I still think you should take a ride back up to Vermont next week though.

Phase III tomorrow for me.

Great trip, Elmer + Sharon! We should try to meet for lunch today, Morrisville is only 25 minutes from my house.

My wife is so jealous of your food pics, we've spent an anniversary in Quebec City before too.

A *very* romantic city.

If you are around northern VT for the day, we are loading up our sidecar rig to go camping at Maidstone SP over the 4th of July weekend, but would love to meet you two and check out your rig.

Again - great trip!

Welcome back!`

I'll add my anniversary congratulations to the list....you guys are a great couple!!
I'm surprised to see you in the states though, it seems the collection we took from the inmates here and sent to bribe the border officers to keep you in Canada didn't work!!
Ah well, guess we can tolerate ya'wl for some more time....

Safe travel.....Koi...

After a delightful evening hosting Elmer and Sharon, comparing rigs and farkles, telling stories and cheering over the underdog Netherlands win yesterday, our guests left this morning bound for New York. Barley (my 3 y/o golden) and I escorted them to the ferry crossing, then waved goodbye and took a longer, more scenic way home so my pup could stop to play at parks, in the river, etc.

I sure hope some of those photos Sharon took of us turn out! I don't have any shots of my shotgun passenger yet!

It was an absolute pleasure meeting you both, doing shots of Screech with chasers of beer, and getting you rested up for the road. Safe travels!

We're back...??!!!

We haven't posted anything for three days: No real Wi-Fi; too rainy; too tired; nothing new..since Cite Quebec...

Then came Vermont...too rainy on the way to Stowe; too busy chatting with inmate MZCountryboy at lunch and taking some tours up the mountains; then too busy mingling with the chickens, sheep, rabbit, dogs on the farm of inmate Boondox. There'll be a lot of pictures to come hoping Smugmug won't get overtaxed!

Coming to the US + Vermont

Passed through a Town called Thedford Mines, QC..strange English name in French Quebec and "Mines"??

The story is:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thetford_Mines.....read it thyself .

Storms looming in the distance..

Forbidden pictures of border crossings...USA

Stopped in Morrisville for the night and were blessed with a rainbow..
