Yo guys!
I remember the Scarecrow Park when I whizzed by last summer. Interesting place! Love the cabin where you stayed last night! Hope the weather will behave for the rest of the way and mebbee soon you will want the cold again! It has been very HOT down here! As usual all the stuff you put on this thread still hold the raptness of my attention. Take care, you gotta approx a week and half when you haul arse into the City of Brotherly Love and I look very much forward to see you! |

Adios Nova Scotia...hello New Brunswick..
Woke up this morning on a misty high forbidden anti-motorcycle hill overlooking the beauty of this surrounding valley.
 Lo and behold a visitor came to admire my motorcycle and wish it Godspeed!!  He prefered the local green deliacy over my tires...good God   Blasting down the gravel road to route #19        NO s**t...  LObsta at MacDonalds????....we never eat at this corporate colon bustin' eatery...but LOBSTA...uuhh...gotta try it....     In Maine..a lobster roll is $14.00 buckeroos...here it's $6.19  Likey likey????  She likey likey....hhmmnnnn  She approves....  On the road to Moncton, NB    Nighty night..see you in Quebec...eh...Merde!! Quebec

From Moncton to Quebec City! Wow, that would be a huge detour most likely up north on Rte 2 and then 185 into Quebec to Riviere -du-Loup, you going thataway? Bob left Vegas this morning towards Phoenix en route to Wash., D.C. by way of the Villages, Fla. Will bum off the Kraut. Carla and I will leave for Indy early in ayem with the bike in tow behind our convertible. I hope to ride all over IN during our one week stay. I could feel you guys coming near! |

Au revoir New Brunswick...Bonjour Quebec!
Not much to report here except that we made haste toward Matane. It was cold and rainy most of the stretches along route 11; 19 and 132 from Moncton....Elmer's destination is all stop at 2pm to find a place so he can watch his beloved soccer.. USA vs. Ghana
 these signs were all over the road....look at the size of the moose & car! kept a lookout but saw none  huge church popped out in the middle of no where...  throughout Canada the signs are colorful and artistic!!  enuff lumber for all...   crossing over Baie Des Chaleurs...so long New Brunswick   Bonjour Quebec...  getting our French translation book out!! Lac-au Saumon (Salmon Lake)  it is nearly 2pm....arrrughhhh....gotta find a place  this will do just fine!!  our chambre #12... 2.5 hours later.....Ghana 2 - USA 1  Fukez vous!  oh well....there's Germany vs. England tomorrow French Onion soup...yumm yummm  escargot...we're lightening up on our calorie intake!!   Made reservation for ferry from Matane to Baie Comeau--none available tomorrow but Monday morning at 11 is open. Guess that means we will hang around Matane and watch more soccer.....USA/England....Mexico/Argentina...

The Town of Matane...
Route #132 and #195 are glorious motorcycle roads although quite rough and bumpy at times. Just ride at ease and keep an eye on thousand of cracks in the road. It was quite chilly after the evening rains but the scenery along these routes with Lac du Salmon on your side is superb.
      Resting at Riotel-Hotel sur mer. Pretty nice and recommended. www.riotel.com  The beaches behind the Hotel      BMW ridin' pup; with harness and doggles..   Cemetery facing the sea in Petit Matane..   Downtown Grande Matane where the Riviere Matane flows through from the mountains into the St. Lawrence seaway...  And the Atlantic Salmon are running upriver..    My love for Flyfishing has always been there......  This ends the day with a proper cup of Cappuchino.... Okay, almost all set on my end. I have Friday pm off. the lamb is picked out. Red wine chilling in the basement. Enough Glenfiddich and Laphroig left over from my last ride. The dogs promise to be on their best behavior. The cats promise to be out mousing that night. Spare room will be ready.
