They’re pretty proud of their skid plate.
In don’t know if these will fit a 796 since it doesn’t mention it but it might be worth asking. Maybe it could be modified to fit a 796.

Thank you. I have looked at it, but it requires at least two holes on the horizontal cylinder which I would prefer to avoid. They are supposed to come up soon too with their own "adventure" kit for the Hyper.

I'm really thinking hard about getting a 2012 Hyper 796. For those of you that have one, can you post your mileage and what type of maintenance and/or repairs you've had to do or have done since buying it? Just trying to get a feel for the Ducati ownership experience... I hear so many conflicting opinions on reliability and maintenance.

Look here...
http://www.ducati.ms/forums/92-hypermotard/

Best way that I’ve found to search for something here is to use this ....
http://www.google.com/search?num=100...iw=683&bih=355
To search this site put any search term you want in the window right behind where it says ....
site:www.ducati.ms hypermotard

Use it for any site, works great.

I got mine in December. Until now, no problem, except one time when the bike died on me approaching a stop light, but it happened when it had only a couple hundred miles. In the last two hundred miles it did not happen again (winter here is not good for riding and I have done less than 400 miles on it). When it is very cold it may take a a bit to start, but only when the temperature is in the 30s. If you can still find a left over 2010 you can probably get a good deal. I paid mine $ 9000.

Just thought I would bump the thread ... I was never real happy with the bar end mirrors so I ordered the conventional mounts from Ducati.

so far I like them better but I have only ridden to and from work. First thing you notice is the bike is not as wide

yes you use the same mirrors most any Ducati dealer web site has a search function for them ..... a bit pricey $123.00 + frt .....

I am going to take a long sport touring ride Sunday I'll let ya know how they do. I am never thrilled with the mounts going into the clutch and break purch so a parking lot tipple could disable the bike.

i wouldn't be too worried about problems with these things, i put 30k on my first hyper and 15k on my current one, the only thing to ever go wrong was the slave cylinder leaked on the first one and warranty replaced it

Howdy All,

Long time lurker here with an 08 Hm1100

Mine looks pretty original but on closer inspection you'll find Waspworks velocity stacks, reflashed ECU, k&n Pod Filters, PCIII, Tag Metals bars, pazzo levers.

Exhaust is next on the list then hopefully I'll add a 990 adventure to the stable. (I ride dirt roads on the hyper and it feels some what sacrilegious).
