Dad's rotor needs help
My dad got home yesterday morning, and he was saying something about something not working right on the bike. He starting taking the bike apart to find what's wrong, and then I asked to help. He had me hold some wires to a shiny part in the front of the motor. I told him I was scared of electricity, but he told me not to worry, this was all unplugged and safe to touch. He told me what tools to get and how to use them, the whole time he was taking pictures. Here they are:
Here I am taking the screws off of the stator (Dad helped me with that a bit). That's my little brother, Peter The Great, helping me. And here I am using a wrench on the screw for the rotor: Next, I take the screw out: And then here's PTG again, organizing Dad's wrenches: Next, comes the special bolt for removing the rotor: And then the wrench to make the rotor pop off: And there you have it, one broken rotor. Is this why Dad calls them "Broken Motorcycles Worldwide"? He keeps mumbling how pumpkin bikes don't do this.... Sorry for the picture problems. Dad had turned off the images since we are on a dialup connection. Should be ok, now. BryceBug screwed with this post 11-09-2004 at 07:21 AM |
