Ya I kinda screwed the pooch on that one waiting to get back to work from vacation to see if I could get that thursday night off. Oh well something will come up, I,ll call Ben tommorow and see whats up,if no one cancels theres a bunch of place in Oxtongue lake.

It's 6 hrs by truck on the slab. Don't want to do that on the XR. I may take my trailer if some local guys want to go up together and split the gas.

Im hoping the weather cooperates to ride, I got a path worn in the back roads up there from canoe and sled trips. Across country, exeter, Dublin, Harriston Mount forest etc., real nice twisty road from west of Shelburne to Thorton, then onto the 400 slab @ Innisfil beach rd. and depending on how much time I have will head east as soon as possible past Orillia for hwy 35 a great road that goes all the way to 60 just west of the Wolfs den.

But if it snows........

I sold the 950 to my brother-in-law and my Road King is for sale currently. I'm looking for a BMW GSA south of the border to import. I've never ridden a GSA, just the GS, but I have the bug to try one on. I love both bikes but the Harley doesn't fit my style of riding anymore (tired of doing more waxing than riding) and my wife's brother was desperate for the 990. Wifey said I could get the BMW if I got rid of one of the other bikes, but the KTM didn't come close to covering the cost of the BMW, so I'm unloading the HD as well and I'll use the surplus to upgrade to an Arai, Akrapovic, etc.

What a beautiful night for a ride. A friend of mine had been telling me for a couple or weeks to take his bike for a ride. Well tonight my wife and I took him up on his offer. What a machine! Extremely smooth and predictable. Tons of power. Engine sounded like a jet turbine. I think this is my next bike. HONDA ST1300

I LOVE IT!!!

On a side note I went to go for my probable last ride of the year since I go back to work on Thursday and I discovered I lost my key. Not too happy about that.
