The 22nd Annual Gathering of the Nortons 2015

The Delaware Valley Norton Riders had their event today. Just gets more popular each year.

Some bike pics- slight apology, I used a camera I haven't had out for a while and for some reason (probably operator error) they're not as sharp as they should be.

Gotta be the winner of the "pimp my ride" award

This RG belongs to a nice guy friend of Chris'. Just had it redone. The last time he rode with me I (inadvertently, honestly) took him down a several mile dirt cratered road. That was a few years ago- he hasn't been back on a ride with me since. Probably a coincidence

My first case of MLI (but maroon with the grey frame)

So where are all the Nortons? Lots of other bikes, hardly any Nortons?

Knock yourself out: http://www.dvnr.org/gallery/index.html

Pretty much the same +100 Nortons are there every year, so I focus on things I don't see as often.

I was there for the 2nd time. Met some DVNR folks, and joined their Chapter of The Club. This is perhaps the biggest single-day ride-in event I've ever been to. It's a great time, it's in a great spot, and loads & loads of bikes of all kinds show up. And yes, that includes over 70 Nortons of all varieties.

So yeah there were some Nortons out yesterday.

And other bikes? One or two, you might say...

A couple of REAL interest (to me any way):

And at least a couple bikes that were reasonably interesting:

And on it went, seemingly forlikeever.

There were endless Triumphs

even one cool "new" triumph (apologies to the easily offended)
The Royal Golden Jubilee Bonneville, 2002 model

oodles of BSAs

And a fair representation of

Italian

Japanese

and German bikes

and that's not including the strong showing of vintage American Iron, scads of newer bikes of all types, the customs, specials & one-offs....

and last but not least, the multiple categories of interest which can only be filed under

-ahem- *other*

Eye Candy all around.

It is a completely awesome event, and many thanks to the Delaware Valley Norton Riders for puttin it on!
