My Wide Silver rims came from a early 04 Silver ADVenture.

By the way, that is a great looking ride. Unlike you, I am a fan of black, and not so much of silver. But, I must admit, it really came-together (on your ride) very nicely.

You guys ride that motor IN THE DIRT!!??

I test rode a 950sm today and can't even fathom trying to keep that thing under control without the benefit of HIGH FRICTION asphalt and STICKY tires. More power to you!

On a side note...what an absolute BLAST that test ride was!

yep and yep....

The Speedo is in that pic...lower cross bar on the clutch side...a Garmin 478 will go on the right....fit and finish of the kit is spectacular...

I just click the "Vocab" button in the Google toolbar...works like a dream. Checks spelling, grammar, and automatically replaces words like "poopy" with words like "recalcitrant."

What torque are you guys going to, on your front axle?

Out of the manual...

"...tighten the clamping screws [2] on the right fork leg axle passage to prevent the axle shaft from turning and tighten the collar nut to 40 Nm (30ft.lb.)."

Then, in the back of the book...

"Collar bolt on front wheel spindle....M24X1.5...60 Nm"

Well, which one is it?...I think I went to 40, last time.

Scary...

Back of my manual says 40nm....I just tighten by hand, firm enough but not too tight, feel the wheel... probably around 25-35nm, try 60nm but i bet the bearings would bite.

I think I'm gonna' stay with the 40. J.J. and "Murphy" ride and wrench together.

A few months ago, I had the KTM guy staring at my bike and asking, "How the hell did you do that?" Explaining my actions, once a year, is good enough for me.
