Locksmith

Well it seems that the key to my FourTrax has found its way into the unknown. Anyone know a locksmith that can key a ATV?

if you can mail the ignition to "County Lock and Key" In Concord, CA I'm sure they could. Been VERY good to me over the years. Had them rekey 20 or so locks while at one shop nearby their location

nippers, splicers, toggle switch = good to go!
see ya soon!

I once hot wired a steam roller,,uhh, and then there was the time we drove the road grader, but that was later on.
They used to leave the key under the seat of the skip loader at the gravel pit,,free gravel! I got pretty proficient at loading pickups in a few stolen minutes!
I watched the old guy start the "pup" motor that started the diesel bulldozer, bigass machine the size of a house!!
I could do that,no problem,, but I was never there to learn how to shut it off,,(shut off the fuel valve),so,,,we started it, and drove it,, then,, I guess it eventually ran out of fuel and died where we left it, or it's still idling in the forest west of Klamath Falls, some 40 years later!
I learned to operate "heavy equipment" at an early age!
4 wheelers,,no problem,, let me tell ya sometime about the "borrowed" Mustang we drove to SanFran ,,

Oh Yeah

I learned the heavy machinery starting at about age 13 the same way. New housing development. Some had keys and some didn't. Got really good at several of them but that grader boy that was a tough one. Messed up and drove it off a one of the pads (oops). After that they had a rent a cop on site at night and on weekends but he proved to be even more fun that the machinery (fat bastard that couldn't run or drive for shit). Guess they didn't get it that us kids had to build our ramps and jumps and everything else with supplies from somewhere. Yeah I guess the toggle switch is the future for it but figured it was worth looking into.

Oh and yeah see ya in a week Peterman. Ill warn the hounds of your impending visit. I have been trying to brush the fur out of them as it has been snowing here for two weeks and while fur is considered a condiment in this house I am hoping to avoid everyone having it all over them. You come Fri or Sat?

You might check to see if there is a number on the ignition switch. Letter and two numbers or something like that. I have a honda key with a D and two#s.

Take them numbers to a Honda (is that right?) shop or a locksmith and see what they can do.
