Hasn't anyone got any real bike stuff to talk about?

Like final drive failures?
Electrical problems?
EFI issues?
Failing to start sorted out?
Rides. Oh that's right it's cold over there. Sorry didn't mean to be so insensitive.

Pluric has put in a good effort with the spokes, I know but...

I think I'll head over the the crush or the GS threads for a while...

Color, and some good-natured ribbing about it, is about the only thing to talk about when your bike never breaks, and just keeps running, running, running like a freight train!

I dunno' about anybody else's Super Tenere, but mine seems to be as reliable as the sunrise, gets smoother with each mile it runs, is as stable as a locomotive yet handles better than many a sport bike I've owned, and never seems to disappoint me.

Wonder if we could liven up the discussion over here by talking about what's the best oil to use in a bike that never seems to break?

Me ,me....Sir...Sir...Pick me...I've got one.....Pick me...

I rode my my bike home at early dusk a couple of nights ago and noticed on startup that my headlights did not come on. I rode home on my fog lights but when I arrived they were on. As I was not actually using the light from them I do not know how long they were off.

At first I thought my headlight loom had burned out.

Possibly a sticky relay ???

Well as long as we are coming clean on disasterous Tenere failures....

Mine had the right headlight bulb stop working. I popped it out to go
match it and thought I'd see if both beams were out. Plugged it
back in and it worked fine.

So not only do these things never break they are self healing if they do.

Funny, he hangs out some on the Yamaha Super Tenere forum, but for some reason there he keeps a much lower profile and is not nearly as annoying. For the most part people just seem to ignore him.

Maybe he got tired of being banned every few days on every forum he frequented!

Mine recently quit working in sand. It fell down.

But don'cha' know it just has to bug the "Roundel Repair Rangers" and the "My Orange Crush Lunched Bunch" when they peek in over and see literally *NO* moanin', bitchin', or complainin' about the Super Tenere. Ya' gotta' think it has to twist 'em up even more that they see few, if any, tales of woe, busted or broken pieces, high parts prices, poor warranty service, etc...

So many of those folks predicted that the big Yamaha would be beset by all the same faults and foibles by other "adventure" beasties... Yet the Super Tenere has been beset by almost nothing. Nothing major anyway. About the only thing it really *HAS* to have is a good skid plate and it's good-to-good literally anywhere without a worry. Just check the spokes from time-to-time and it seems you're golden.

Has to drive the "Propellor Pilots" and "Orange Crush Club" nuts...
