At the moment I can only think of one place where you can rent a bike http://www.gtaexotics.ca/dev/ in the Toronto area. If a V Strom 650 is ok for you, I'm good to go.

Uau...I m going to rent a police car
Thanks , I'm on. Wait for April.

It's all about camera angle in the sand. He just had a better angle that's all.

Haven't taken many photos of the Tenere lately, but got in a quick snapshot today. Decided riding some twisties in the rain was in order and the S10 was the best tool in the garage. Still lovin this thing.

Is that on the way up to Mt Hamilton?

I suppose it depends on which way you ride up Hamilton

I was coming home from there, this shot was taken a bit lower on Mines Rd, south of The Junction a bit.

Edit: OOPs, just NORTH of the Junction...I must've been enjoying refreshments when I wrote that last night

Certainly one of the best rides in the area. Love it. Haven't done it with the Tiger yet, though. About time to do so ...

One more week ...

Have ya' ever noticed how all these pics of Pluric's "crashes" in sand look like the big ol' Yamaha just laid over so slow and gentle?

Ya' know, Folks... I'm beginning to wonder... I don't think Pluric actually "crashes" in sand at all. He just wants us to *THINK* that!

His real problem is either, one, he simply can't figure out how to come to a stop in sand without falling over, or two, he doesn't know how to put the sidestand down...

I've told you I'm a 1st gear sand wallower. I don't even attempt to get it to
float on top. Do you know how bad that would hurt?

Just that stupid one above threw me in a laughing low speed summersault.
I much prefer to be laughing on the ground than the other options.

This is from my front door this morning.

I'm trying to get a Death Valley ride together for the 26-31st. It depends on getting
out of Salt Lake. We had been having a fairly mild weather pattern. If I can just get
to the Utah/Nevada border without snow I should be okay. Coming home? Hmmmmm.

That's the problem I have on this bike, whether it's floating on sand or sideways on a fireroad the Tenere just works so much better on the gas, but highsiding a 600# bike at those speeds is going to be nasty. Hence I often ride like a wuss when I should be on it leading to stupid tip overs. I hear ya.

It's almost worse. I don't ski. I do have some snowmobiles, but I'm not a that into them.

Strom hated it....

Quad didn't do a whole lot better,

The good news is it will melt and you can float stuff on it!

And for you Tenere photo Nazis there's a dry docked one in here somewhere.
